Wixams is one of Bedfordshire's newest villages, a planned community on the southern edge of Bedford with green spaces, lakes and play parks threaded between its neighbourhoods. Getting Around
The A6 runs past the village for a quick drive into Bedford or south towards Luton. Bedford railway station is around fifteen minutes by car, with Thameslink and East Midlands services reaching London St Pancras in as little as forty minutes. Milton Keynes is about half an hour by road and Luton Airport roughly twenty-five minutes via the A6. Regular buses connect Wixams with Bedford town centre.
