!!!CAUTION!!!
If there are sustained flash floodings occurring around Sydney, it is an indicator that the rivers and creeks in the Blue Mountains and Central Tablelandsmay experience flooding not long after if the water cannot get to the sea quick enough. If this happens, I will contact you to cancel and move your trip so that you do not get stranded or worse, you get hurt trying to do a water crossing.I will keep an eye out on BoM flood warnings for the area and weather forecasts. In all the years, the only flood I ever saw was during the floods of Sydney March 2021 which affected our area.
While it is normal to see some creeks flowing under the roads and sometimes a little over the road (like 5-10cm water height). There are 3 critical spots that can swell and prevent access.

If you arrive at any of these points and see that water is overflowing over the road to a height about half your wheels;
AND
It has raining heavily for the past few days and and forecast to continue raining;
Then I would recommend to turn around and return home - I will reschedule your trip.
After long periods of rain, there will be pot-holes and cracks in the dirt road which you need to navigate slowly. The council tries to clean up the dirt roads every year after heavy rain, but please drive carefully when you start to see any pot-holes. Usually this is from Cullenbenbong Road (https://goo.gl/maps/mzYASiAzaivzs3b17) through to Glen Chee Road.
Will be a bit bumpy for 2wd but I have had Mazda2 andToyota Yaris hatchbacks come in the past just a little slower and more carefully.
AWD or 4WD is definitely recommended, but not necessary.
